The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Cultural Heritage Center, and Hunnu Tsuur Association will organize the International Tsuur Festival and Symposium from June 3 to 6 in Ulaanbaatar. The festival is being organized under the Mongol Tsuur program, which aims to maintain, study and pass on the tradition of tsuur to the next generation, and support tsuur players. Musicians and researchers from more than 10 countries, including Inner Mongolia (China), Buryatia (Russia), Kalmyk (Russia), Tuva (Russia) and Kazakhstan will take part in the festival. During the festival, tsuur players will present speeches on the origins of tsuur and other similar musical instruments, traditions, technology, playing method, and skills of musicians.
