Deputy Prime Minister meets inspectors to increase responsibility

Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met with officials and inspectors of the General Agency for Specialized Inspection (GASI) on Monday. At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister directed inspectors to provide legal and inspection recommendations to enterprises doing business in Mongolia without imposing undue pressure and bureaucracy of state authorities. He noted that to provide people and enterprises with fast, effective and easily accessible government inspection services, regularly meeting with representatives from the public and businesses to listen to their opinions and challenges is the responsibility of GASI’s inspectors and officials. U.Enkhtuvshin stressed that all inspectors should remember that as GASI is a state authority that protects national security as the national health, food, labor and environment securities are ensured thorugh inspectors’ operations and professional ethics. During the meeting, inspectors asked for the government’s assistance in enhancing the organization’s financial authority, making amendments to some laws related to specialized inspection, renovating the facilities of inspection agencies in provinces, improving inspection equipment, as well as maintaining the organization’s current structure. The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Cabinet will review proposals from the inspectors to resolve their problems.
