Minister of Roads and Transportation J.Bat-Erdene participated in the international transport forum and exhibition Transport Week 2017, which is being held in Moscow from December 2 to 8. As part of the forum, Minister J.Bat-Erdene met with Russian Transportation Minister Maxim Sokolov to discuss ongoing and upcoming transport projects between Mongolia and Russia. During their meeting, the ministers discussed an intergovernmental agreement on rail transport; the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on international road transport through the Asia Road Network; joint feasibility studies of projects under the economic corridor program of Russia, China and Mongolia; projects on the renovation of Ulaanbaatar Railway, a Mongolian and Russian joint company; and the future of the Kurangino-Kyzyl-Ovoot-Erdenet railway project.
