The first meeting of the new board of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP), which was formed in November, took place on December 25 to discuss the party’s 2018 general plan, structure and action plan of the party’s policy committee, and rules of the board. Chairman of MPP U.Khurelsukh participated in the meeting and reminded legislators representing MPP in Parliament to put more effort next year to implement the party’s action plan promised during the 2016 parliamentary election.He also warned lawmakers that premature actions will negatively impact public approval of the party and MPP-led Cabinet operations, and said all lawmakers should work to strengthen their discipline and work responsibly. Some newly elected board members proposed the board to revisit the decision to increase taxes next year.
