State junior fencing championships concludes

The State Junior Fencing Championships 2018 was held for the fifth year last weekend. In the men’s epee (a thrusting heavy weapon with a maximum weight of 775 grams and where the entire body is the valid target), M.Yalguun from UB Fencing Club claimed victory and L.Aztulakh won a silver medal. Moreover, T.Tului from Khangarid Sports Club, G.Sumiyabaldan from Uurkhaichin Sports Club and Baganuur LLC seized bronze medals. In the women’s epee category, Kh.Enerel of Duel Club and Sor Cashmere LLC beat Ch.Nandin-Erdene from Khangarid Club in the final match. Two athletes from UB Fencing Club, G.Purevjargal, and A.Delger, seized the bronze medals. According to the cooperation works related to Tokyo 2020, Mongolian athletes M.Yalguun, L.Aztulakh and Kh.Enerel gained the right to take part in a joint training in Aomori Prefecture, Japan. On the second day of the competition, winners of the youth event were announced. U.Margad-Erdene from Uurkhaichin Club took first place and B.Amarbold from Khangarid Club seized silver medal. The third place went to Uurkhaichin Club’s athlete M.Munkhtulga and Khangarid Club’s A.Bat-Erdene. Gold, silver and bronze medals were handed by President of the Mongolian Fencing Federation G.Dashnyam and board member of the Mongolian Fencing Federation B.Badrakhjargal.
