Newly appointed nine ambassadors from foreign countries to Mongolia handed over their letters of credence to the Presdient of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj on April 19 and 20.  They are: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia Ilija Isailovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to Mongolia Dolana Msimang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Ron Keller, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine Khalid Mahmood, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Eastern Republic of Fernando Lugris, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania Ina Marčiulionytė, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia Maris Selga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Marshall Islands Thomas D.Kijiner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federated States of Micronesia Carlson D.Apis, presented their Letters of Credence to the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. Following the credential presenting ceremony, President Ts.Elbegdorj met with the newly appointed Ambassadors. Ambassador of Macedonia Mr. Ilija Isailovsky noted that he will work hard to enhance bilateral relations with the both countries. The President wished success in his diplomatic mission and expressed belief that there are a lot of untapped possibilities for us to cooperate and agriculture, tourism and education are possible areas of cooperation. Year 2015 marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Macedonia. During the meeting with Ambassador of South Africa Ms. Dolana Msimang, President Ts.Elbegdorj noted that Mongolia views South Africa as its close partner in Africa and wished success in her future endeavors. During the meeting with Ambassador of Netherlands Mr. Ron Keller, the President expressed that Mongolia has always been grateful to the people of the Netherlands for actively developing cooperation with Mongolia through consistent support to Mongolia’s democracy, social and economic reforms and sharing the experiences as well as providing financial and technical assistances during the tough times of transition started in 1990s. Ambassador of Palestine Mr. Khalid Mahmood noted that at the meeting with President that he will work to enhance mutual cooperation between the both countries. At the meeting with Ambassador of Uruguay Mr. Fernando Lugris, President Ts.Elbegdorj emphasisied that Mongolia attaches importance to the development of bilateral relations with Latin American countries, in particularly with Uruguay. Ambassador of Lithuania Ms. Ina Marčiulionytė congratulated Mongolia for its achievements in democratic transition and expressed belief that Mongolia will successfully organize the upcoming Asia–Europe Meeting. Ambassador of Latvia Mr. Maris Selga said that he will work towards enhancing the bilateral relations and cooperation between the both countries. In turn, the President expressed pleasure that the President of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis is planning to participate in the ASEM Summit that will be held in Ulaanbaatar in July and wished success in his further responsible mission. Ambassador of the Marshall Islands Mr. Thomas D.Kijiner expressed satisfaction with being appointed as the first Ambassador of the Marshall Islands to Mongolia and noted that he will pay more attention to the expansion of mutual relations between the countries. President Elbegdorj wished success in his future endeavors. Ambassador of the Federated States of Micronesia Mr. Carlson D.Apis promised to put efforts to deepen and bring the mutual relationship into a new stage of development.
