Member of Parliament B.Batzorig submitted a letter to step down from Parliament to Speaker G.Zandanshatar on April 3.

According to the law, Parliament must decide the issue within 14 days. In other words, a request to step down from Parliament must be considered by the relevant standing committee within a week of its submission, and by Parliament the following week.

B.Batzorig is currently among members of Parliament being investigated for misappropriating assets of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund by funneling loans to associates and family members.
