Procedure on preparing news and reports in State Palace to be approved

Head of the Media and Public Relations Department of Parliament S.Batbaatar introduced the procedure on preparing news and reports in the State Palace during the 2020 spring session of Parliament.

The Secretariat of Parliament has set up a temporary office for journalists on the second floor of the State Palace during the quarantine period. A press meeting will be held at the office to brief on timely issues and decisions from the spring session.

S.Batbaatar noted that if journalists conduct an interview with members of Parliament, they have to notify the Media and Public Relations Department in advance and to make appropriate preparation. During unavoidable circumstances, journalists are allowed to enter other areas of the State Palace and the time of the event and the number of journalists in attendance will be determined in advance.

Reporters were advised to follow the restrictive regime and the rules of the designated area when participating in press conferences, receiving news, interviews and reports. The Media and Public Relations Department of Parliament said it will work to ensure that reporters are provided opportunities to carry out their work.
