On April 14, Education, Culture, Science and Sport Minister Yo.Baatarbileg reported that the State Emergency Commission decided to extend school, kindergarten and university closure until September 1 due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

“TV and online lessons for school and university students will be launched until June 1 nationwide. Kindergarten and school registration has been postponed until the second half of August this year. Starting April 15, heating of kindergartens, schools, universities and dormitories will be stopped to save state money. This year, 9th graders will not be taking examinations for the next level,” minister noted.

Some 192 countries have suspended their education activities due to the coronavirus pandemic. There are 1.71 billion children who have been staying at their home worldwide.
