President makes proposals on bill on pandemic

The Office of President reported that President Kh.Battulga has submitted his suggestions for the bill on pandemic that is being developed in connection with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

President Kh.Battulga expressed gratitude that the bill is being drafted, which is designed for dealing with social and economic challenges caused by the pandemic. 

The president issued the following proposals for the bill.

1. To establish a special-purpose fund for Anti-Crisis to promote enterprises and businesses.

2. To use revenues gained from properties and assets confiscated by the government for medical equipment procurement and establishing new hospitals. 

3. To guarantee social protection for front line public service workers in COVID-19 response. 

4. To provide low-interest housing mortgage, assistance and incentives to front line responders.

5. To strengthen health care delivery system to respond to COVID-19 challenges and put in place social protection measures for front line responders. 

6. To ensure that vulnerable groups, including children, elders, people who require constant medical attention, pregnant women and people with disabilities, are protected and supported during the COVID-19 response measures and eliminate negative impacts caused by the pandemic.
