On April 21, the Standing Committee on Budget convened to discuss the revision of the Law on State Audit, draft resolution on setting customs duty rates on imported goods, bill on exemption of value-added tax payment, and amendments to the Law on Real Estate Tax.

Introducing the revision of the Law on State Audit, lawmaker L.Enkh-Amgalan said, “This law provides for the right to monitor the state power holders of all state-funded organizations, namely the president, prime minister, chief justice and even the speaker of Parliament. We have reflected the principle of independence in the amendments to the Constitution.”

Lawmaker G.Temuulen, Minister of Energy Ts.Davaasuren, Minister of Justice and Home Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj expressed their views on the revision of the Law on State Audit.

The draft resolution on setting customs duty rates on imported goods, submitted by lawmakers A.Sukhbat and Kh.Bolorchuluun on April 7, was discussed and the members of the standing committee decided to introduce its conclusion during the plenary session.

The members of the standing committee supported to introduce the proposals and conclusion on the bill on exemption of value-added tax payment during the session.

Lawmaker B.Choijilsuren noted that there are controversial issues on amendments to the Law on Real Estate Tax. Therefore, the issue’s discussion was postponed for a week. A working group headed by B.Choijilsuren will review the issue.
