The General Election Commission (GEC) has reviewed the documents submitted by political parties and coalitions seeking to run in the 2020 parliamentary election and announced on April 27 that 15 parties and four coalitions to be approved to run.

On April 30, GEC issued a confirmation to some parties and coalitions for participating in the election. Particularly, the Democratic Party, the United Party of Patriots, Freedom Implementing Party, Great Unity Party, Zon Masses Party and World Mongolian Party have received confirmation.

On May 1, Sakhigtun! UndsenKhuuliin 19 Khuuli Coalition (Adhere to 19 Laws of Constitution of Mongolia!), Love the People Party, Party of the People, Development Program Party, Mongolian Green Party, Mongolian People’s Party, United Citizens Coalition Party, Motherland Party, Democratic Reform Party, Right Person, Voter Coalition, People’s Majority Government Party, and Development Ger District Party received confirmation from GEC.
