“Botanical Hackathon” competition was organized by the Mongolian Academy of Science (MAS) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Botanical Garden of MAS. University students participated in the competition held on February 26-27. Experts from the Innovation and Technology Department of the MAS conducted a training for the participants of the competition on how to prepare a project, how to find ideas, and how to properly present them. In addition, participating students formed teams and competed by creating a project. Four teams from National University of Mongolia, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Mongolian National University of Education, and Mongolian University of Life Sciences participated in the competition. Among them, the project named “Finding a solution for sorting and recycling household waste” by the “Daily drop” team from Mongolian University of Science and Technology was selected as the best.
