31 ibex inhabit Bulgan Mountain

16 ibex were reintroduced to Bulgan Mountain, a nature reserve in Arkhangai Province. This brings the total number of ibex in Bulgan Mountain to 31. Last year, 11 ibex were introduced to the area, and the herd now includes two newborns. Moreover, the “Ibex” project was initiated by graduates of the general school in the province, with a plan to introduce 10 ibex to Bulgan Mountain each year.

Bulgan Mountain, located in Arkhangai Province, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The nature reserve is home to various wildlife species and offers a sanctuary for the ibex, contributing to conservation efforts and ecological balance in the region. The introduction of ibex to Bulgan Mountain is part of a broader initiative to enhance wildlife populations and promote environmental sustainability.

When the animals were released into the wild, a large number of local people visited to witness the event. This community involvement highlights the cultural and environmental significance of the project, fostering a sense of stewardship and pride among the residents. The successful reintroduction of ibex not only boosts the local ecosystem but also serves as an educational opportunity for the community, demonstrating the importance of conservation and wildlife protection.
