Mongol Bank reports on foreign debt data for first quarter of 2016

Mongol Bank reported on the foreign debt of Mongolia as of the first quarter of 2016, and announced that the nation’s total external debt has reached 22.6 million USD, up by 1.6 million USD (8 percent) in comparison to the same period in 2015. The Cabinet’s debt increased by 480 million USD (14 percent), reaching 4.03 million USD. The external debt of Mongol Bank went up by 208 million USD (11 percent), reaching 2.08 million USD. The foreign debt of commercial banks increased by 481 million USD (30 percent), and reached 2.06 million USD. Mongol Bank reported that the external debt of other sectors was up by 122 million USD (4 percent) and reached 3.56 million USD. Loans from foreign investors went up by 322 million USD (3 percent), reaching 10.8 million USD.
