National History Museum gets new exhibit preservation equipment

The National History Museum of Mongolia received new exhibit preservation equipment on June 17, provided by cultural grant assistance from the Government of Japan. The National History Museum currently holds more than 56,000 rare and priceless items that are part of Mongolia’s historical and cultural heritage, and exhibits of  national and global significance as part of its collection. The new equipment will be used to safely store archeological finds and fragile insect and animal material, and will allow for their disinfection and sterilization. A ceremony for the presentation of the storage equipment provided by the Government of Japan, valued at 720 million MNT, took place last Friday, outside of the National History Museum.
