On Thursday, the General Election Commission (GEC) made a decision to grant temporary passes to the newly elected parliamentarians on July 1. Under the law, the GEC should release the list of candidates elected to the new Parliament within 15 days of polling and submit it to the President of Mongolia. The GEC reported that it will execute its duties stated in the law immediately. Soon after the submission of the list of the new parliamentarians, President of Mongolia issues a decree announcing the date of the first session of the new Parliament. On the first session, parliamentarians take their oath, formally ending the term of the former Parliament.
