The deadline for newly elected parliamentarians and new members of city and provincial councils to submit their income and assets declarations is this Friday, one month from the time that the newly elected officials took public office. Pursuant to the Law Against Corruption and the law on regulating personal and public interests in public service to avoid conflicts of interest, parliamentary members and members of provincial and city councils are required to submit declarations of income and assets to the Independent Authority Against Corruption.
