Mayors from Northeast Asian countries are currently convening at Soyombo Chamber in Tuushin Hotel, Ulaanbaatar. Opening speeches were presented at 9:00 a.m. by Ulaanbaatar Mayor S.Batbold, Mongolian Minister of Environment and Tourism D.Oyunkhorol and Minister of Energy P.Gankhuu. Mayors from Mongolia, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Ukraine and other prominent speakers from international organizations such as UN Habitat, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank will discuss their common challenges, exchange experiences, and forge regional cooperation among their cities in making urban development dynamic, inclusive, and sustainable. The Mayor of Budapest of Hungary, István Tarlós, is attending the forum as a special guest this year.
