Justice and Internal Affairs Minister meets with his ministry's agencies

Newly appointed Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs S.Baymbatsogt learned about  the operations of the agencies in the ministry’s portfolio on July 28. He met the authorities and officials of the General Archival Authority, General Executive Agency of Court Decisions, Immigration,  and the General Police Department, and was introduced to the operations of the agencies and the issues they face. The General Archival Authority moved to a new building last year and has digitzed ten percent of its archival documents as part of the Online Archive project being carried over the last three years. The authorities emphasized that the state should review salary increases for the agency’s staff and categorizing them as  administrative servants. The General Executive Agency of Court Decisions asked the minister to improve security and increase jobs at detention facilities. The authorities of the General Police Department forwarded suggestions to Parliament to promptly approve amendments to  the Law on Police Service, and resolve financing for raises, incentives, and commissions for police officers based on their years of service. Minister S.Byambatsogt gave operational directives to the agencies and instructed them to submit proposals to resolve the issues the agencies are facing. He said that he will work to improve the nation's business environment, prevent crime, support wealth creators and employers, and that he will pay attention to protecting civil rights and improving the working conditions of the state servants working under his ministry.
