Mongolia and China sign cooperation agreement on e-commerce

On April 1, New Silk Road LLC established Mongolia’s first cross-border electronic trade cooperation agreement with an e-commerce company operating in Xilinhot, China. During the agreement signing ceremony, the sides underlined that Mongolian brands will be provided with opportunities to be promoted and make sales through the online trading platforms of China. In 2015, around 300 million consumers made purchases for 490 billion USD through online trading in China. New Silk Road LLC also opened the Online to Offline (O2O) exhibition hall in Xilinhot to promote Mongolian brands. In addition to selling their products online, Mongolian companies that sell imported and domestically made products will be able to sell their goods in the exhibition hall. The Mongolian company is aiming to open international brand trade centers in biggest cities in China, including Erlian, Xilinhot, Hohhot, and Beijing.  The company believes the trade centers will allow Mongolians to consistently promote and sell their products through multiple commercial channels.
