Yesterday, Minister of Mongolia M.Enkhsaikhan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Takenori Shimizu to discuss and exchange views on the Tavan Tolgoi (TT) power plant project. During the meeting, the sides shared information about negotiations being conducted between Mongolia and the TT power plant project contractor, Marubeni Corporation. M.Enkhsaikhan said that Mongolia is planning to establish an investment agreement with selected investors in May 2016. Ambassador Shimizu said that he will fully support the TT power plant project, noting that it is crucial for boosting Mongolia's economy, and that he will continue his full support for bilateral relations between Mongolia and Japan.
