Japanese Culture Day to be celebrated on May 20

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia-Japan Center for Human Resources Development, Japanese Culture Day will be celebrated at the Mongolia-Japan Center on May 20. During the event, “How well do you know Japan?” question and answer competition, Japanese song competition, Japanese tea ceremony, calligraphy workshop and culture of furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloth) will be organized. A corner for introducing Japanese culture will be opened at the center. Traditional Japanese toy called kendama, Japanese anime, manga and Japanese cuisine will be displayed in the corner. Cosplay corner, where participants are able to wear costumes, such as yukata and fashion accessories representing specific characters, will also be opened. A photo exhibition called “15 years that Spent Together” and an exhibition of the best essays about Japanese culture will be held during the festival.
