Review of 2018 monetary policy guidelines and state budget postponed

Parliament’s Standing Committee on the Economy met on Friday to review a parliamentary resolution on the 2018 monetary policy guidelines and the second discussion of amendments to the 2017 state budget. The Democratic Party (DP) caucus chairman D.Erdenebat stated that as the new Prime Minister withdrew the 2018 state budget draft to be review by his Cabinet members for additional changes, the standing committee doesn’t need to review the resolution on the 2018 monetary policy guidelines. He noted that DP caucus is taking its break from the standing committee’s meeting. As MP Kh.Bolorchuluun believes that the new Cabinet members should review the 2017 state budget amendments, he put forward a proposal to postpone the second review of the amendments to the head of the standing committee D.Terbishdagva, and the majority of MPs in attendance voted in favor of Kh.Bolorchuluun’s proposal. Reviews on amendments to the 2017 state budget and the draft 2018 state budget have been pushed back until the new Cabinet members review them.
