The two-day International Conference on Chinggis Khaan, his Legacy and Indian Culture is beginning today at the Consensus Chamber of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mongolian and Indian researchers will give and discuss presentations on three main topics: “Traditional Understanding of Chinggis Khaan”, “Common Traits Between Chinggis Khaan and Modern Mongolians”, and “The Scope of Buddhism and Indian Culture”. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar partnered with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), National University of Mongolia, and Choi Luvsanjav University of Languages and Civilization to organize the academic conference, initiated last year during the state visit to Mongolia by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Seventeen Indian researchers and academics led by the president of the ICCR are attending the conference in Ulaanbaatar.
