Deputy speaker discusses bilateral relation with Japanese ambassador

On September 1, Deputy Speaker of Parliament S.Odontuya met with Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Khiroyuki to discuss bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries.

Deputy Speaker S.Odontuya stressed the importance of deepening the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Japan in all fields and intensifying relations and cooperation between the parliaments and people of the two countries.

Thanking the government of Japan for providing practical assistance to Mongolia in the framework of bilateral and international organizations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, S.Odontuya asked the ambassador to pay attention to the implementation of agreements and documents between the two countries.

Ambassador Kobayashi noted that the two countries will work closely to strengthen friendly relations, and stressed the importance of trade and economic cooperation. He noted that the countries have started exchanging views with relevant organizations to begin preparations for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on expanding economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
