A Mongolian delegation led by Minister of Finance B.Bolor attended Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) 49th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, held from May 2 to 5 in Frankfurt, Germany. Minister B.Bolor and government representatives accompanying him met with ADB’s President Takehiko Nakao, Executive Director Gaudencio Hernandez, and representatives from Credit Suisse to discuss cooperation and relations. Minister B.Bolor gave a presentation to ADB authorities about Mongolia’s current economic conditions. He asked the ADB to provide support for diversifying the nation’s economy and expanding the activities of the private sector, and guidance in implementing social allowance policies for targeted group to overcome the current economic difficulties. The leadership of ADB underlined that they will continue providing support for Mongolia, and noted that the government’s policy and decisions are vital in implementing policy programs in the future. They also emphasized the importance of finalizing the Fifth Thermal Power Plant project.
