The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia reported that the Ministry of Mining signed a cooperation agreement with the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco) on June 20. The cooperation agreement was signed by Ch.Sosormaa, Non-Resident Ambassador of Mongolia to Chile, and Head of Cochilco Alex Matute Johns. Following the agreement signing ceremony, the Mongolian Ambassador met with Chilean Minister of Mining Aurora Williams to discuss and exchange views on intensifying bilateral mining cooperation between Mongolia and Chile. The parties agreed to boost collaboration in mining, especially copper industry, exchange mining experiences and information, and to introduce new technologies to Mongolia. The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mongolia reported that the two countries are expected to implement a joint program after identifying priorities in the mining sector.
